Looney Tunes: Back in Action
The director is Joe Dante, whose segment of "Twilight Zone" (1983) involved a traveler who unwisely entered a house where the reality was warped by a kid's obsession with cartoon characters. Again this time, he combines live action with animation, in a film not as inspired as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" but in the same spirit. It's goofy fun. Or maybe we should make that daffy fun.

Hereditary
Date: 10/31/2018 Viewed: Blu-Ray First viewing Note: I miss out on this movie when it was playing in theaters. I started my 31 Days of Horror with L'Inferno, which was one of the first major full-length horror movies and now I end this month with a major horror movie from this year. It was cool to see how horror has changed in the last 107 years. I have mixed feelings on this movie, to be honest. The movie is a little over two hours and it felt like it took forever for this movie to kick off. I found the first hour of the movie to be rather boring and it was not until one of the characters is killed off when the movie started to get going (Not spoiling who it is). The acting is great and the movie has a brilliant use of imagery. It was the slow pacing and the ending that hurt the movie for me. I wanted to love this movie as most people did, but I didn't get into it. If I give this movie a second viewing in the near future, I may like it better.
